Public Speaking

Networking Public speakingPublished July 21, 2014 at 7:03 pm

In part because of my leadership role in Re>Think Local and in part because of my 20 years of developed expertise in Localism and triple bottom line business. In the last year or two I have been doing a lot (relatively speaking) of public speaking. Talks have been on a variety of business topics. Mostly on Localism and triple bottom line business with an emphasis on how the new economy is being seen and felt here in the Hudson Valley. The world of business in flux, just about every industry facing significant changes and business owners what to know whats next? Fortunately there is a tremendous amount of data supporting locally owned independent businesses who effectively communicate their values are doing better. This topic was on my mind today as I am speaking this evening at the annual meeting of the High Falls Food C0-op, I am very excited

Some of the places I have spoke have included:

-New Paltz Regional Chamber of Commerce
-Dutchess County Chamber of Commerce Green initiative
-Saugeties Chamber of Commerce
-Women’s Enterprise Development Center in both Westchester and in the Mid Hudson Valley
-Several Transition Town meetings including Saugeties and Woodstock
-GET (Gateway to entrepreneurial tomorrows) 10 Year anniversary networking meeting
-The Pfaltz Club of New Paltz (citizens group)
-This does not include several radio and TV appearances

Based on responses in terms of questions, comments and audience follow up with me, these talks have been a tremendous success. People seem to enjoy both my humor as well as my date driven approach to sharing what for most of them are new concepts presented in a clear easy to follow format.

In the past I have spoken extensively at regional & national industry trade shows, sports groups and others.

Is your business or citizens group group looking for someone to speak at an event. Please let me know.
